Biddulph Christmas Lights Switch On: Saturday 29 November 2025
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Timothy Adey, Scane Dance, Tribe Dance Academy and Staged Dance and Drama group provided entertainment on the Town Hall steps before the Mayor, Councillor Adrian Lawton, switched on the Christmas Lights, supported by the Town Crier, John Robinson.
We offered free activities and welcomed Santa, a cheeky elf and the Grinch!
There were also fair ground rides, a festive street market, with stalls selling crafts and gifts, decorations, cakes, wreaths and food and the town’s independent shops stayed open longer.
It was wonderful to see so many residents and visitors come together to start the festive season in true Biddulph spirit.

Biddulph Scratch: Friday 5 December 2025
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our free Christmas film screening of ‘The Holdovers’, with a festive sing-along before the film began.
Toy Appeal
We were overwhelmed by the generosity shown in support of our toy appeal. On 9 December we organised the donated toys, and thanks to your kindness, over 100 children received gifts to open on Christmas Day, making a meaningful difference to families who find Christmas particularly challenging.
Woodhouse Academy: Friday 12 December 2025
Pupils from Woodhouse Academy brought festive cheer to the town by singing carols on the Town Hall steps.
Family Christmas Party: Saturday 13 December 2025
We had an amazing time at our Family Christmas Party. This was a partnership event delivered as part of our ‘Biddulph Works Together’ initiative.
Events like these would not be possible without the incredible support of our community – thank you.
Biddulph Christmas Lights Switch On: Saturday 30 November 2024
Staged Dance and Drama group and Tribe Dance Academy provided entertainment on the Town Hall steps before the Mayor, Councillor Nigel Yates, switched on the Christmas Lights, supported by the Town Crier, John Robinson.
A lantern parade followed, supported by the community art group Outside, together with Eva, the polar bear, from Red Thing Creations – a company that designs, builds and operates giant mechanical puppets.
Thank you to everyone who made the event a success.

Biddulph Town Council Toy Appeal
As part of our Biddulph Works Together project, we ran our Toy Appeal again this year.
We worked with partners to ensure that children most in need of gifts don’t wake up without a present on Christmas Day.
