Remembrance 2025
Remembrance Sunday is a day for the nation to remember and honour all those who sacrificed their lives to secure and protect our freedom.
On Sunday 9 November 2025 the Town Council hosted the annual town centre event, in partnership with the Royal British Legion, commemorating those who served in all wars.
The town was full as our community came together, with a parade from the Town Hall at 10.15am and a short service, wreath-laying ceremony and two minutes silence at the cenotaph, led by the Rode Hall Silver Band. Followed by a service of remembrance, including the Roll of Honour – the reading of the names of the fallen – at Biddulph Methodist Church, Station Road.
It was so special to see veterans walking alongside younger members of our community, with all playing a crucial part in the occasion.
On Armistice Day, Tuesday 11 November 2025, we met at the cenotaph at 10.45am for a period of reflection and remembrance.
