Biddulph Town Council is committed to enhancing the economic performance of our town in developing and sustaining a strong local economy.
We aim to promote Biddulph as a visitor destination and support our local businesses through delivering networking opportunities and hosting special events throughout the year to increase footfall into the town centre.
The council first partnered with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce in May 2022 to deliver a Business Roadshow, providing advice about a range of subjects, from grants to support with legal issues.
In March 2023, we held a Business Networking event in the Town Hall, providing support to a range of organisations in our town.
In December 2025, we hosted a ‘Business Breakfast’ in the Town Hall, aimed at engaging local businesses, strengthening relationships, and beginning discussions about the possible creation of a Biddulph Business Chamber.
Attendees contributed to flip-chart discussions to identify priorities, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.
Businesses expressed a need for:
- Better sharing of information, including opportunities, news and services.
- Support with grant applications, marketing, and business administration.
- Guidance around apprentice and skills programmes.
- Greater integration with local services, including health and community support.
- More regular networking opportunities to build relationships and awareness between local businesses.
Overall, the event successfully brought together a diverse group of local businesses, highlighted clear priorities and an enthusiasm for deeper collaboration, giving Biddulph the opportunity to build a more connected, resilient and well-supported business community.
A mailing list has been created to maintain contact. If you’d like to be added to it, please contact the Town Council by phone or email.
