Local groups play a vital role in many of the town’s events, fundraisers and positive changes. We commend the organisers and volunteers who keep everything running smoothly.
Biddulph Town Council is proud to offer funding and support each year through several key initiatives:
Town Council Grants Scheme and Town Councillors’ Community Grants Fund
In 2025-26, the Town Council allocated £57,000 to 16 local groups through this scheme, helping to fund a wide range of community activities.
Town Councillors can award up to £250 each annually to local groups.
In 2025-26, so far, a total of £925.00 has been distributed across 4 different groups via this scheme.

Biddulph Works Together
Now in its fourth year, the ‘Biddulph Works Together’ partnership brings together statutory and voluntary organisations to provide warm spaces, free meals and opportunities for people to connect.
£10,000 was allocated to the programme during 2025-26. The group gives free meals to around 7000 residents in the town each year.
Room Hire
Some partners receive free room hire at the Town Hall. Some non-profit groups receive a 20% discount.
Promotional Opportunities
The council’s website offers free listing in the council’s ‘Biddulph Directory’ and in the council’s ‘Clubs, Groups and Societies Booklet’. Both are updated regularly. The booklet is also available in paper format from the Town Hall.
The council hosts an annual volunteer event, where local groups can showcase their volunteer opportunities and connect with potential volunteers.
Groups can also promote themselves at events such as the Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Biddulph Volunteer Recognition and Civic Awards
In August 2024, a volunteer recognition and civic award evening was hosted in the Town Hall to thank representatives from local organisations for their work and to celebrate the difference they make to our town.
A second event will take place in February 2026.
