Councillor Elaine Baddeley, who served the Biddulph West Ward with unwavering dedication and compassion, passed away on Friday 6 March 2026.
Elaine was a devoted public servant and a valued member of our community.
She served as a Councillor for over 20 years and was proudly elected Mayor on two occasions. Her long service record reminds us of the importance of people who are willing to step forward and take part in public life.
Elaine will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and steadfast commitment to the people she served.
We lowered the Town Hall flag, and our thoughts are with Elaine’s family, friends, and all who mourn her loss.
