Can you help Father Christmas find his elves?

This is a fun, free activity for you to enjoy – all you have to do is find the elves in the windows of Biddulph Town Centre shops.

Pick up a paper entry form from the Town Hall or download and print the form below:

Elf Trail Christmas 2024

Return your completed form to the Town Hall by Monday 6 January 2025 to be entered into a prize draw.

There are 5 x £10 prizes to be won.

If the Town Hall isn’t open, pop your entry in the post box – it’s to the left of the front doors.

Biddulph Christmas Lights Switch On 

This year’s Biddulph Christmas Lights Switch On was held on Saturday 30 November.

Staged Dance and Drama group and Tribe Dance Academy provided entertainment on the Town Hall steps before the Mayor, Councillor Nigel Yates, switched on the Christmas Lights, supported by the Town Crier, John Robinson.

A lantern parade followed, supported by the community art group Outside, together with Eva, the polar bear, from Red Thing Creations – a company that designs, builds and operates giant mechanical puppets.

There were also fair ground rides, a festive street market, with stalls selling crafts and gifts, decorations, cakes, wreaths and food and the town’s independent shops stayed open longer.

Thank you to everyone who made the event a success.

Sunday 15 December – Aldi Supermarket – 11am to 3pm

Friday 20 December – Aldi Supermarket – 2pm to 6pm

Saturday 21 December – Sainsburys Supermarket – 2pm to 6pm

Sunday 22 December – Aldi Supermarket – 11am to 3pm

Monday 23 December – Sainsburys Supermarket – 2pm to 6pm

Rotary aims to give all families, especially children, a great Christmas experience, as well as raise money for Rotary supported charities.

 

Biddulph Town Council Toy Appeal 

As part of our Biddulph Works Together project, we ran our Toy Appeal again this year – from the 4th November to the 6th December.

We worked with partners to ensure that children most in need of gifts don’t wake up without a present on Christmas Day.

Free Christmas Parking 

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has agreed to provide free off-street parking in it’s Wharf Road car park on Saturday 30 November and Saturdays 7, 14, 21 December and Tuesday 24 December.

Drivers are asked to note that whilst parking is free on these dates, all other car park regulations remain in place.
