80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings
We started marking the D-Day 80-year commemoration on Saturday 1st June with a fabulous evening of music and readings at the Town Hall. On Thursday we will be taking part in the following national activities:
8.00am Reading of the D-Day 80 Proclamation.
9.00am Flag of Peace hoisted outside Biddulph Town Hall.
11.00am A short service of remembrance at the Cenotaph. (Meet just before 11am all are invited)
9.15pm Outside Biddulph Town Hall lighting of the Lamp of Peace. The Mayor will read the National Tribute and one minute silence.
