Donna Louise

The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice

The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice provides respite, end-of-life care and bereavement support for local children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
It costs the charity £2.5 million each year to keep their doors open 24/7. Families are welcomed to the hospice which has an emphasis on laughter, joy and creating an environment where every moment really does count.

epilepsy action

Epilepsy Action is the UK’s leading epilepsy organisation and exists to improve the lives of everyone affected by the condition. As a member-led association, we are led by and represent people with epilepsy, their friends, families and healthcare professionals. Epilepsy can affect anyone at any age and from any walk of life, and globally over 50 million people have the condition. Epilepsy Action is here to support people every step of the way through living with the condition.
We exist to improve the lives of everyone affected by epilepsy. To do this we must ensure that all people with epilepsy have specialist health care and treatment for their condition and can lead their lives free of stigma, prejudice and discrimination.
We provide advice and information, online, in print and directly through the Epilepsy Helpline. We also offer e-learning – with tips for living with epilepsy, as well as videos and interactive quizzes. Our UK wide network of groups is growing all the time and gives people a great chance to share experiences and support each other. Our online forum has members around the world, all supporting each other, alongside our Facebook page.
